My name is Greg Maytom, my brother is a member of the Yagoona Pigeon club in Sydney and has asked I send you the information below.

I raced these youngsters to 400 miles, the best of them, 443 bbh, was beaten by the federation young bird derby winner off Roto (300) miles. There was not many birds home on that day, only about 150 in the entire federation.

443 bbh was also beaten in the all age derby from Ivanhoe (400) miles by a club bird that achieve 1st club, 2nd section, and 4th overall in the federation.

2ND Club Y.B.D. from Roto (510 klm) Velocity 1146m/m. 8th section

and 30th overall in federation 278 flyers for 1370 birds released.

2nd club All Age Derby from Ivanhoe (624 klm) velocity 1171 m/m. 4th section and 19th overall in federation. Won $10 pools. 249 flyers for 1222 birds released

R Morley 10th Queensland Gold cup.
P Murphy 14th Kempsey Creek car race

1st Club 15th Federation in the GMPF 3000 plus birds he lost six minutes getting the bird to trap through the ETS

A bird 143 bred by me has produced 3rd Fed Mitchell, equal 2nd Fed Morven when crossed to a SVR. 143 is by AU-01-1147 x AU-00-991 all Sion blood.

Those two Sions are from my loft I sent you a bird Denmark 07 200 bred from the same pair 1147 and 991,

Des I won 5th place with a daughter of 99 x Verrecke cock in the one loft race on the weekend less than half the birds home on the first day

There are also many testimonials from fanciers that I have bred birds for, a typical example was from Steve Harding, I bred 20 birds for Steve to race his comments were 8 of the 20 won 1st section and 1x 1st open in the race, he said that in most cases with ten birds sent all ten could have won he said that not bad to have 13 birds that could have won at least two races each.

In 1996 I won the Sportsman Of The Year award, the citation said it was for both my achievements and contribution to the sport of pigeon racing
